Beye Discovery has started string mache on balloons. You take a balloon and you take a piece of string and put it in diluted glue. Now wipe the extra glue off the string with your fingers, (this gets messy!) You put the string on the balloon and you can make any design you want but just make sure you pat it down so it doesn't fall off. Then you keep adding string until you have almost covered the whole balloon. Then wait 8-10 hours. And then the string will be dry and you can pop the balloon and you will have a string shape or what ever you want to call it!
Have fun!

Our plan is to create an installation of these nest-like and spiraling forms. We will work with another Beye Discovery class to add to this initial group of super cool forms. Way to go Beye Discovery students!!!
