Spreading the Joy: Polka Dot Art for the Beye School Library!

Post Contributed by Jocelyne Adkins, Program Director

Art can serve many purposes: to please and to uplift, to inspire and to question, to document and to educate, and so much more! The students' polka dot art project developed and led by Ms. Bernstein and displayed outside the Beye office in the main hall, is no doubt pleasing, playful, uplifting and fun (see link below). As the work was being installed, it caught the eye of Mr. Wither's, Beye School's Teacher Librarian, who offered us the opportunity to create a 2nd series of polka-dot art to be installed in the library's story room windows. The photos below document the panels being made by the students in the library. There are 4 panels in all ~ when you have a chance, do visit the library to see these in person ~ we are eager to spread the joy!
