Halloween Haunted House

Post Contributed by Jocelyne Adkins, Program Director

Pasta boxes lend themselves to so many possibilities! Today, with a little scissor help and some black tempera paint, we transformed these boxes into terrific little haunted houses. Students were especially innovative using polyester batting to create the illusion of fog, creating a puppet box, and adding special effects through movement using string and original props. Students also drew ghosts and tombstones and used stamps of bats, skeletons, skulls to further embellish their haunted houses. These are very convincing and I hope they will spark some creative storytelling, just in time for Halloween!
