Collages inspired by comic book graphics

Hi Families,

A few weeks ago, Nina photographed our Friday students while playing outside. The printed photographs were given to each student to create a collage, where they became the main character or supporting character and in a style that references motion graphics often used in comic strips (see the example Nina created and is holding against the white board below). Students who were absent the day photographs were taken had the option to use photos of their classmates or to select imagery from our stash of National Geographics. Some students chose to use both. The results are exciting, imaginative and bold! Do take a look below!

Jessica, almost done!

These were truly fabulous and the students knew it. There was no way they were parting with these for an in-school display. Popular choice won out and they took the collages home to proudly share with family and friends : ) Way to go Beye Discovery!!!
